Whitney Houston the songstress and well known past drug addict passed away a few days ago this february 11th at only age 48. It was a sad to hear this news and after seeing the funeral this past sunday via CNN I was distraught. She was an iconic artist and well loved friend. Alicia Keys, Steevie Wonder and R.Kelly were a few of those that performed on her behalf at the humble baptist church in Jersey. Whitney Houston was a piece of my childhood and her voice was a blessing to my heart. She will be greatly missed but her music will live on for ceturies. RIP Whitney. She leaves behind an 18yr old daughter (Bobbi Kristina).
Adele the imfamous "someone like you" singer from the UK had a throat surgery. She apparently damaged her vocal cords and doctors had to operate on them to save her famous voice. She is doing amazingly well and did a magical performance at this years grammys which she had several nominations and took home one
Katy Perry & Russell have called it quits the reasoning for such is still under speculation. Some say due to his reported sexual addiction. Maybe he was just too much for Katy. Who knows! The couple have only been marrie for up to a year but I'm still disappointed at hearing this news. I Loved the dyamics of them as a couple.
THE GAME is back on televison for another season on BET. So far the show has been doing well with steady ratings. I been getting some mixed reviews though from people who think that the show is both good and on the boring side. We have seen The actor/singer Brandy on the show as Jason's new love interest. I'm loving that! The character "Kelly Pits" hasn't made an appearance at all on the show so a lot of those that loved her may be a bit disappointed. Tasha Mack has been carrying on with her usual chartoon-ish vocals and attitude and Melanie doesn't stop f*ing things up as I like to say. Its not my highest rated show right now but meh its something to watch. Other than getting rid of the new Brit-Brat and Melanie dropping a few pounds in her gut area everythings all dandy!
The SUPERBOWL was okay I guess...who won again?? Yeah needless to say I was not watching it for the purpose of keeping up with the play by play but rather for the performances and most talked about commercials. Madonna did a great job of entertaining the masses with her almost ancient v-section (that awkward bony section that she waxes clean between where her two thighs meet.). Leotard/ panty-like outfits should be banned for her. Im just saying its not a good look. Her performance was great though. Throw Nicki Minaj and MIA in the mix and it was awesome. Especially the middle finger MIA flipped the crowd during her performance. Yes it was frowned upon but i'm saying this was just a middle finger jeez come on at least Nicki's seams didnt pop at the hip or another nipple didnt make an appearance. They should be grateful.
Angelia Jolie is reportedly preggo! She is said to be having yet another baby to add to her collection. Im starting to wonder if its a strange obsession of hers. Brad must really love her to keep forgetting to pull out. Anyway she does a lot for the poor and needy so I have to respect her efforts to make her home an orphanage. Sorry Jennifer dont think Brad's coming back. This is more than just a lustful fling.
Jennifer Hudson dropped a few pounds. Thank heavens. She wasn't grotesque fat but she was a on the heavier side. She lost a lot of weight and is doing commercials for Jenny Craig. Im happy for her successes in the music business and in her life. She's an inspirational artist and she's been through so much she deserves to shine. GO JENIFFER!
So thats my quick overview of what I think are one of the most memorable moments and happenings of the past few months. There will be more to come
